It’s the perfect introduction to charity rides and a great way to experience the camaraderie of cycling with others for a good cause.

Long Route (60 miles): For the more experienced cyclists looking for a challenge, the long route promises to test your mettle with its relentless and punchy climbs. This route is designed to push your limits and is best suited for those who have a bit more experience under their belts or willing to train for the ride.

Supported by MC Events

Over the past 9 years, the MCE support team has continually grown stronger and more adept, ensuring that from the moment you arrive to the moment you cross the finish line, you’re in good hands. Our goal is to make your experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, allowing you to concentrate solely on the ride and the unforgettable memories you’ll create along the way.

A Husband, Dad, Gan Gan, Brother, Uncle, Son in law, Brother in law, Father in Law and a friend to so many.

You are missed and loved every day.

Taken so abruptly from us.

We carry on, Paul, because that’s what you’d want…you loved life and everything within it. From work to riding, you set the example for us all, committed, and courageous. With all of that, your biggest love was your family. You showed us each and every day how precious we were and you were the captain of ‘Team Family’.

A team that continues…fractured, yes, and missing the main man, but we ride on.

Life is going down a different road now for us…but the legacy of love and kindness you left with us is firmly planted in our hearts…helping us to navigate through this fog.

The memories we have will last us a lifetime and we will celebrate your memory and talk about you all of the time.

This ride is one way we hope to honour your memory, doing something you loved and raising money for causes close to all of our hearts.

Thank you for everything Paul, love us.

What’s the terrain like on the routes?

The terrain will vary depending on which route you are on. Most of the routes will be on quiet country roads but there may be elements of the routes that go through roads with traffic. Further details on the exact routes will be shared closer to the time, well before the ride.

As in the name of the event, this is a challenge and we would expect you to at least have some level of cycling ability and road knowledge. The more you are able to train before the ride, the more that you will enjoy the ride.

We recommend a road bike for the distance that you will cover, although a hybrid or gravel bike would be perfectly suitable as well. The most important thing is that you are comfy on the bike and that it is well-serviced.

Due to a limit on the number of places, the registration fee is non-refundable. If for whatever reason you are not able to make the ride then we ask that you contact as soon as possible.

We have kept the minimum fundraising target low and believe that it is very much achievable. However, if you are struggling then please contact us and we’ll do our best to help you with your target.

Yes, there will be allocated parking for cyclist to park their vehicles. However, we cannot guarantee this as it’s based on first come basis, in which case you may need to find alternative parking.

Yes, you are welcome to invite friends and family to see you off at the starting line and/or cheer you on across the finishing line. However, if they intend on cycling with you then they must register as this ride is strictly open for those pre-registered only.

Those taking on the long route will start earlier than those cycling the shorter one. Depending on the number of cyclists, we may stagger the start time. However, as long as your friends are doing the same route as you then we’ll do our best to accommodate.
