Day 1 - Cardiff

Starting in Cardiff, we will head towards the Taff Trail, following the Rive Taff. The trail is traffic-free and is made up of a collection of old railways lines and canal paths. The surface is smooth and gentle before making its way to the Brecon Beacons. There are a few climbs towards the middle of the ride but you’ll be rewarded with the spectacular decsents for all your hard work, including a 5-mile downhill straight into Hay-on-Wye, our overnight stop.

Distance: 69 miles
Elevation: 3,600ft

Day 2 - Brecon Beacons

Steady cycling on day 2. The climbs are never long or overwhelming, but will need to keep pushing. We have plenty of time and a relaxed pace, time to take in the Welsh countryside and the views. Again quiet lanes, one of the must do routes of mid-Wales.

Distance: 61 miles
Elevation: 3,575ft

Day 3 - Snowdonia

With the development of the Trans Wales Cycling route, the stage has become ideal for pleasure cyclist. We’re in for a treat, cycling the wonderful Barmouth wooden viaduct and the old railway track. The views along the coast are breath-taking.  This will be a day for climbing with plenty of breaks to catch your breath and enjoy the views.

Distance: 74 miles
Elevation: 6,525ft

Day 4 - Bangor

A well-deserved shorter ride to the finishing point in Bangor. We will travel through Caernarfon and along to coast to Bangor, making our way through woodland forests and along the coast of north Wales.

Distance: 38 miles
Elevation: 2,300ft
