MAP have offices in the West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem, Lebanon and London. With our extensive local knowledge and experience, we work closely with communities, hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers to coordinate care and medical aid even where there are severe restrictions on access.
MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
We are also committed to bearing witness to the impact of occupation, displacement and conflict on Palestinian health and wellbeing, and campaign for the realisation of Palestinian rights to health and dignity.

Manchester to Blackpool Registration
We would recommend a road bike or a hybrid bike. If the hybrid is closer to a mountain bike, then the front suspension should be lockable.
The MC Events team have a number of experience cyclists and enthusiasts and will help any participant to buy a bike. In general, we would recommend buying a second hand bike as it is the most cost efficient way to buy a good bike which is suitable for the journey.
The Manchester to Blackpool charity cycle ride is a 55 mile ride between the two iconic cities. The route is reasonably flat and most people with average fitness should be able to complete the ride.
We would encourage all participants to train for 4-6 weeks. The ride is not a race and we leave as a team and finish as a team.
The registration fee is non-refundable
The package section above describes what is and is not included as part of the registration fee. MCE are a voluntary organisation so all the money from the registration fee will be used to cover the costs of the event
The fundraising target for each person is a minimum of £200
In general, Medical Aid for Palestinians donation policy is approximately 90% towards the cause and 10% towards admin costs. MAP strive hard to minimise the amount they take from donations and their admin fees are often less than this.
For the mobile health clinic project that we are fundraising for, we have agreed a 100% of the donation policy.
